If you don’t know yet, I am hosting my very first readathon and it’s happening next week! I’m super excited and for this post, I’ll be letting you know all the books I’m planning to read on the readathon. Anyway, let’s get started!
The first book on my TBR is Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami.because I’ve always wanted to read something by him and this consists of short stories so I’m hoping I’ll be able to fly through it and not be too worried about having to read something too dense and difficult. Super excited to read my very first Haruki Murakami book!
And next, for my second book on the list, I will choose Case Histories by Kate Atkinson! I bought this novel secondhand and I’ve never heard of Kate Atkinson before but the owner of the books who were selling me these novels recommended it to me and I decided to buy it, and I’m super excited to read it! It’s been a while since I’ve read a good mystery or crime novel and I’m hoping this will be one.
The third book on this readathon’s TBR is another book I bought together with Case Histories, which I also mentioned on a Sunday Updates I posted. It’s The Scapegoat by Daphne Du Maurier, a gothic mystery novel which can also be classified as a classics. It sounds really interesting, thrilling, and I really can’t wait to delve into something dark and mysterious like this one.
I know it’s a little over-reaching for me to have a fourth book on my TBR because this is only a two-day readathon, but I just can’t help it! And the fourth book for the TBR is Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness. I read the Knife of Never Letting Go trilogy’s first two novels in the past two months, but I never really gotten round to reading the last one, but I really want to and this is a very fast-paced, super thrilling series and I think it’ll be a great read. Not sure if I’ll actually finish it in this readathon, but you’ll never know!
Alright everyone, that is all the four books on my 48-Hour Readathon TBR! My main focus is of course the first three books, but I’m really hoping I can read all four of them. I know it seems a lot, four books in two days, but I tend to reach high to keep myself motivated! And I just noticed this but apparently all the four books on my TBR are written by authors that I have never read before, so that adds something cool to the readathon! Maybe if I do it again next year, I will add the criteria of books whose authors you’ve never read before to the rules 😀
I’ll keep you all updated on my reading progress during the readathon, so I’ll see you guys soon! Bye!
